That's like trying to buy a McDonalds happy meal with a safeway gift card.

They have an iPhone app, but I have to buy my games through other payment methods. They could use the in app purchase feature, I don't think its a mad idea.

Wish it would happen, but I don't think steam would go for it, since they seem more in the windows pc space and are getting more intrested in linux with the steambox.

Apple don't allow it anyway.

Thanks peltz for being open minded over my idea. I completely understand that apple would take a cut sephy, however adding this option could get them more revenue as many teenagers are without a paypal/credit card account.

I guess only time will tell what will happen, some kind of decider on valve and apples relationship would help along the way!

Just out of curiosity, wouldn't it be simpler for teenagers to get a steam card from gamestop? I mean, I would see how that statement would fail if there is no gamestop around the particular teenagers in question, but I'm not sure how well valve would feel about apple taking a cut of possible revenue. Then again, it does diversify if some one does use an itunes card for steam...

I see, that would definitely help out people globally then.

If they allow Gamestop to take a cut then surely apple could take the same or lower cut, I don't see why not.

True enough, I'm just not so sure of how arrogant apple will be because of the new ceo, since the soul of apple was steve jobs. It might demand a bigger cut than gamestop, thus pissing off gabe and the deal might never be reached. Worse case scenario of course.

Agreed, I think apples cuts are like 30%
